Project Scaffold Launches New Community Portal

After several years of bringing together a small but passionate group of care professionals, families, and service providers, Project Scaffold has taken a major step forward with the launch of its brand-new, free online community portal.

What began as a group of about 100 national members meeting monthly to share ideas and improve care for older people in South Africa has now evolved into a vibrant digital space open to everyone involved in the sector. The new portal is designed to make collaboration easier, connect people across disciplines, and turn great ideas into action.

Members can now join dedicated Spaces to explore key themes such as care, housing, governance, and innovation — or create their own projects to tackle specific challenges. The platform also provides a place to celebrate success stories, highlight best practices, and showcase the incredible work being done across communities.

Project Scaffold’s mission remains clear: to strengthen collaboration, share knowledge, and help shape a more caring, connected future for older persons and the people who serve them in South Africa.
